Please join us in doing our part to support Bullying Prevention Week at Wellwood by having your child wear the selected colors each day of the week.
On Tuesday, please wear the color green to represent equity. Wellwood students will have the opportunity to sign a poster in which they will pledge to support a school community that does not participate or support bullying.
The color of the day for Wednesday will be yellow representing empathy. Students will be encouraged to eat lunch with someone they do not normally sit with and in order to build new friendships.
Thursday will be “Random Words of Kindness Day." We will wear red to represent respect. The staff and students at Wellwood will have the opportunity to write kind words on a designated bulletin board in the hallway and pass on positive words about each other throughout the day.
On Friday, the students and staff will dress in purple, to represents positivity. Staff members will post positive words and pictures on Wellwood’s social media sites throughout the day using the hashtag #DontStart.
